Bellator Dublin is ready and ready to go down TODAY (Friday, September 23, 2022) inside the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, with a lightweight bout between former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion, Benson Henderson, and Peter Queally. In the act of co-headlining, Melvin Manhoef and Yoel Romero will clash in a light heavyweight slant.

145 lbs: Mads Burnell vs. Pedro Carvalho

Round 1: Both men come out swinging. Burnell takes Carvalho done. He shrugs. Carvalho fights but Burnell slams him to the cage. Carvalho gets up. He action against the cage. Carvalho’s beautiful knees land at the trunk. Burnell shoots for a takedown and gets it. Carvalho stands up, but has Burnell draped over him. Burnell slams him again but Carvalho bounces quickly. Burnell makes a nice combo before firing for another takedown. Carvalho fails to break away from Burnell, who is dominating this round. Eventually Carvalho broke apart and began landing before being shot down once again. 10-9 Burnell.

Round 2: Carvalho starts with low kicks, nice jab work from Carvalho. Burnell lands a huge left, shoots for a takedown and gets it. Burnell looks for the naked rear choke. He pulls to the side of Burnell’s head. They climb while Carvalho tries to escape, Burnell can’t make it. They separate and Carvalho is shot down again. This is a takedown masterclass for Burnell, I lost count. Burnell once again in search of the bare-back choke. Carvalho escapes and now has maximum control. But only for a second when Burnell brings out a good sweep. Now in lateral control. Burnell takes Carvalho back. guess what? Burnell defeats Carvalho … again … with ease. Carvalho comes back and has the advantage on his feet. He now shoots for the takedown and gets it. Burnell looks a little tired. Big elbows of Carvalho as a conclusion of the tour. 10-9 Burnell

Round 3: Carvalho opens the strong round. High Kick Link. Burnell doesn’t really have much on his feet. Nice low kick from Carvalho. Carvalho is really peppering Burnell, who then looks for the takedown. Carvalho pushes Burnell against the cage and is unloading his knees from the clinch and brings Burnell to the ground. Side control for Carvalho, who scored a second win while Burnell looks absolutely exhausted. Nice elbows of Carvalho. Burnell isn’t really trying to get out of this position, he’s exhausted. Carvalho is trying to mount. Nice lap of Carvalho, beating on Burnell … but it might not be enough to get the victory.

Final result: Carvalho def. Burnell by unanimous decision

145 lbs: Leah McCourt versus Dayana Silva

Round 1: Silva starts with a big right hand. McCourt eats it. It looks like a fight if you test. McCourt landed a nice combo and then a knee in the middle. McCourt pushes Silva against the cage and unloads his knees up to the trunk. McCourt takes Silva back. Silva trying to escape. McCourt is rehearsing for the takedown and she lands with a red knee in Silva’s face. Silva manages to reverse the position and now has McCourt against the cage. McCourt’s nice right hand, and another. Silva shoots for the takedown and gets it. McCourt makes his way to his feet. 10-9 McCourt.

Round 2: Silva swings wildly. McCourt with a couple of shots. A few sloppy shots form both men to open the round. McCourt begins to tighten. Nice low kick lands for Silva, McCourt lands a nice uppercut. Silva with a kick to the body and a turn of his left hand that somehow lands. McCourt with a straight right, then a knee to the head as Silva ducks. Another wild blow from Silva, he takes nothing but air. Low kick lands for McCourt. McCourt follows a shine in his right eye. McCourt pushes Silva against the cage, Silva reverses position. Knees to the trunk of Silva. Silva lands a nice left. Close the round. 10-9 Silva.

Round 3: Push kick starts things off for McCourt. Passing to the right lands for Silva, then to the left. Silva begins to find his rhythm. McCourt needs to pick up the pace, but his eyes are starting to swell, cut below the left one. One-two mistakes for McCourt and again, Silva swinging wildly. Low kick for Silva. Three minutes from the end of a tight match. Silva rushes in and takes nothing but air with his onslaught of strikes. McCourt with another pushkick, shoots for a takedown but is padded. Silva pushes his enemy against the cage. Knees to the trunk of Silva. McCourt started strong, but I have Silva who took the last two rounds. McCourt’s attack is slowing down. McCourt’s nice right hand, then a left jab. Silva shoots for tkaedown, catches McCourt as the round draws to a close. 10-9 Silva

Final result: McCourt def. Silva by unanimous decision

145 lbs: Ciaran Clarke against Rafael Hudson

Round 1: Hudson opens with a low kick, then a left hook to the bod and then a right hand tat drops Clarke! Swarms and now he’s on full guard. Clarke shrugs off the cobwebs. Fighting for position and Clarke searches for an armbar. Hudson comes out. Back on full guard. Clarke shoots with her elbows from below and Hudson returns fire. Clarke tries to grab another armbar and Hudson comes out again and lands a huge hammer punch before returning to the guard position. Clarke is breathing heavily after having Hudson on him in the first round. 10-9 Hudson

Round 2: Clarke comes out aggressive and eats an elbow to the head and then a flying knee. That’s enough to get him fired. Bad move as Hudson is now landing bombs. Hudson is on half guard now, transitioning to full. Clarke with her elbows again. Clarke manages to fight back on her feet and they separate. Hudson has a sharp style, so far it’s effective. He tries a flying knee and slips. Clarke is now on half guard. He’s looking for a bottleneck from behind, no nuts. Side control now for Clarke. Lots of ground climbing, Clarke looking for submission while Hudson trying to survive. 10-9 Clarke

Round 3: Clarke shoots for the takedown and gets it right away. Side control and passage to the guard. Hudson gives his back for a moment and Clark is now looking for a choke from behind. He jabs to the side of the head for Clarke, scoring points in an even fight. Clarke is trying to flatten Hudson, he has both hooks. Naked rear suffocation attempt. He has an arm under his chin and Hudson flees momentarily. Clarke is still working on this. Him while blocking him and Hudson touches! Great return for Clarke.

Final result: Clarke def. Hudson via third round submission (choke from behind)
