Strong sales of iPhone 14 Pro models could see Apple stabilize its market share for high-end phones at 60% if the enthusiastic response from consumers continues throughout the year.
according to DigiTimesso far this year Apple’s market share for high-end phones with unit prices above $ 500 has reached 55% in the low season and 60% in the high season, but “iPhone 14 Pro sales” may see its peak season share become the norm if they maintain their current momentum.
Apple has reportedly asked its lead iPhone assembler Foxconn to transfer some of the iPhone 14 production capacity to the Pro models to meet high demand, while DigiTimes reports that component manufacturers in Apple’s supply chain have not received order cuts for any models, although they may have been told to adjust shipping ratios slightly for different devices.
On Apple’s website, it is estimated that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in different configurations will ship in weeks. In contrast, the iPhone 14 models experienced tepid sales, with the devices remaining available for order from Apple’s website without delay and readily available in stores.
The real indicator of the demand for the iPhone 14 Pro will be the sales trend in the first month following the initial wave of pre-ordered models, according to DigiTimes. Last year’s iPhone 13 Pro models are said to have seen long-tail “great” sales after the first wave of pre-orders, signaling that the Pro models have become mainstream upgrades for iPhone users thanks to their strong specification updates.
In contrast, the iPhone 14 features the same design and display as the iPhone 13 and is powered by the same chip as the iPhone 13 Pro, plus it has the latest camera features. Meanwhile, the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus is a larger version with a larger battery, replacing the not-so-popular “mini” size of the iPhone 12 and 13 lineups.
