NBA DFS point guard picks
Has De’Antonio Melton has he entered stallion territory? I think the answer is yes for now. Melton has already been a strong fantasy producer this season, averaging 1.02 FanDuel points per minute over the past month, and had 49.0 FanDuel points in his most recent contest. He has played at least 36 minutes in consecutive matches and should continue playing as much as possible with James Harden And Tirese Maxey put aside.
Furthermore, Joel Embid he will join Harden and Maxey on the sidelines for at least the next two games. This opens up even more usage for the rest of the roster. Melton has increased his utilization rate to 29.0% with all three players outfield this season, averaging 1.30 FanDuel points per minute. That’s a sample size of just 19 minutes, but it gives an idea of the kind of edge Melton brings to the table.
Hyland bones it keeps getting more expensive, but still stands out as one of the best per dollar options in the position in our NBA models. Nikola Jokic And Jamal Murray both are doubtfuls for Tuesday’s game against the Pistons, and Milton has dominated in their absence. He has posted a Plus / Minus of at least +15.37 on DraftKings in consecutive games and has lost more than 38 minutes in his last outing. Hyland is one of the top minute contributors in the league, averaging 1.29 DraftKings points per minute this season. The Pistons were also the worst team in the league in terms of defensive efficiency, so this has all the makings of a strong point.
On the other side of that comparison, Alec Burks he has a certain appeal for the Pistons. He played at least 24 minutes in consecutive games and scored at least 25.25 DraftKings points in both games. His playing time is on the rise and this year he is averaging 1.08 DraftKings points per minute. His minutes should be safe Cade Cunningham And Saddiq Bey set aside, and is not expected for a lot of properties on this list.
Chris Paul he’ll miss another game for the Suns, so he’s sure to come on Cameron Payne once again on FanDuel. His salary of $6,800 comes with an 85% deal rating and he’s averaging 1.14 FanDuel points per minute over the past month. He has averaged Plus/Minus of +10.02 in his last 10 games and tied a matchup vs. a Lakers team that ranks fourth in pace on Tuesday. The Suns’ implied team total of 118.5 ranks first on the list.
NBA DFS shooting guard picks
Devin Booker he’s another member of the Suns who should continue to benefit from CP3’s absence. He wasn’t really needed in the team’s last game—he played just 29.5 minutes in a sensational victory—but he has scored at least 48.5 DraftKings points in his previous three contests. That includes a whopping 78.0 DraftKings points two games ago against the Jazz. Overall, Booker is averaging 1.22 DraftKings points per minute with Paul off the field, making him one of the stronger payment options on the list.
Shake Milton he’s another fantastic source of value for the 76ers on Tuesday. Lui moved into the starting lineup in the team’s last game and put together his best game of the year. He had 27 points in 38.1 minutes and his 26.8% usage rate was his second-highest mark of the year. Milton finished with 36.0 DraftKings points in that contest, and that was with Embiid posting a 37.3% utilization rate. He should be a focal point for the 76ers offense that desperately needs to score.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope stands out as a strong option on DraftKings, where his $4,700 salary comes with an 84% Bargain Rating. It’s not the best retail producer, but it should be able to compensate with volume. He’s currently forecasted for just under 32 minutes in our NBA models, and players with comparable salaries and minute projections have historically averaged plus/minus +2.53 (according to the Trends tool).
Jade Ivy didn’t make as big a step forward as some were hoping with Cunningham sidelined, but was a decent option nonetheless. He has posted a positive Plus/Minus in seven of his last nine matches on FanDuel, where his $6,900 salary comes with a 79% Bargain Rating.
NBA DFS Small Forward Predictions
Bruce Brown stands out as the clear best option in the position on DraftKings. Unfortunately, he’s only eligible for SG on FanDuel, but he’s a strong option there too.
Brown took on a sizable role for the Nuggets with Jokic and Murray sidelined, most notably as a distributor. He has at least seven dimes in consecutive games, which is easily the highest mark on the team. Hyland is the only player even close to Brown in that department, and he’s a backup option. No other starter has more than four total assists in those contests, so the offense goes almost exclusively through Brown when Hyland is off the field.
Brown is averaging 0.95 DraftKings points per minute over the past month, so he’s already a good contributor on a per-minute basis. He has the best median and max showings in the position on DraftKings, which you’ll gladly accept with a $6,000 player.
About FanDuel, Boyan Bogdanović it is your best value in the position. Its $5,800 price tag comes with a 92% Bargain Rating and its matchup vs. the Nuggets result in an Opponent Plus/Minus of +4.22. Most of Bogdanovic’s fantastic value comes from his scoring ability, and he should see a slight uptick in that department with Bey out of the lineup for the time being. He’s posted a positive Plus / Minus in six straight matches on FanDuel, and has a good chance of making it seven in a row on Tuesday.
Daniel House Jr. He has been one of the worst minute producers in basketball this season, averaging 0.47 FanDuel points per minute. He played an impressive 39.1 minutes in his last outing, but finished with just 18.9 FanDuel points. It’s pretty hard to figure out. He should see another sizable caseload on Tuesday and has a good chance of returning value to his $4,500 salary. That said, he doesn’t offer much upside.
Speaking of minutes, very few basketball players play more minutes than Michele Ponti. The team didn’t need to push him in their last game, but he’s had at least 39.4 minutes in four of the previous six games. Bridges has also upped his output per minute to 0.90 FanDuel points per minute this season, so he’s able to make the most of his monstrous workload.
NBA DFS Power Forward Predictions
Tobit Harris he was upgraded to probable after missing the 76ers’ last two games and is expected to face a large workload. He has sacrificed much of his offensive game playing alongside Embiid, Harden and Maxey, but has proven to be a capable scorer when called up. He increased his usage rate to 28.8% in nine games without Embiid last season, averaging 37.52 DraftKings points 34.3 minutes per game. Maxey played in each of those contests and had a 27.4% utilization rate. It’s possible Harris will be asked to score even more with Maxey him joining Embiid and Harden on the sidelines.
We have finally seen the return of Ben Simmons? He looked like the old version of himself in his last two games, amassing at least 39.0 DraftKings points in both contests. He has found his scoring touch, with an average of 18.5 points per game, which goes hand in hand with his excellent work in the peripheral categories.
Simmons is likely destined for some regression as a scorer — he’s shot an absurd 17-19 from the field in his last two games — but most of his shots are pretty low-grade. Regardless, he’s expected to see about 32 minutes on Tuesday and is able to average well over a fantasy point per minute. This keeps him firmly in the game at $6,300 on DraftKings.
Aaron Gordon stands out as another elite value on DraftKings. His $5,600 salary comes with a 96% bargain rating and should provide more raises than usual if he’s able to adjust. He’s averaging 1.24 DraftKings points per minute with Jokic and Murray off the field this season, albeit on a sample of just 10 minutes. At the moment he’s questionable with an illness, but he’s someone to consider if he’s in training.
Anthony Davis has been excellent for the Lakers recently, scoring at least 58.3 FanDuel points in four straight games. Each of these contests has been with LeBron James out of the lineup, and it’s moot again on Tuesday. Davis would become the top stud option if LeBron weren’t available yet again, even in a tough matchup vs. Davis. the Suns.
NBA DFS center picks
Deandre Ayton it remains very affordable at $6,800 on DraftKings, resulting in a bargain valuation of 88%. His production was a bit low to start the year, but he had at least 36.25 DraftKings points in consecutive games. It only took him 26.8 minutes to reach that threshold vs. the Knicks, and he should play more minutes if today’s game is more competitive. The Lakers also represent an elite matchup, giving Ayton a +3.82 Plus/Minus opponent.
Thomas Bryant he’s dressed for the Lakers in his last two games and was out 23 minutes in their most recent contest. He answered with 27.75 DraftKings points, and has the potential to repeat that production vs. the Suns. There’s no guarantee he’ll see that much playing time again—he’s currently projected for 17.7 minutes in our NBA templates—but he has the edge at $3,400.
De’André Giordano he remains affordable at $4,500 on DraftKings and should continue to start in Jokic’s place. He averages just under a fantasy point per minute and played nearly 34 minutes in the Nuggets’ last game.
The Grizzlies have caught up Yes Morano a questionable, and his return would decrease the value of the rest of their players. That said, Stephen Adams it would be interesting if it were excluded. He has seen more opportunities as an attacking midfielder with Morant off the pitch this season, and is already a solid contributor on the glass.
