News: The Rams waived RB Darrell Henderson Jr. on Tuesday.

What does it mean in fantasy: Henderson led the Rams with 283 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 70 attempts. He also had 102 receiving yards on 17 receptions. The Rams’ rushing game has been an abomination thus far in 2022, ranking them 31st in the league with 76.1 yards per game. Los Angeles also ranks 28th in run block winning percentage. Los Angeles’ offensive line had 10 different starting combinations in 10 games. In three of his last four games, Henderson has had fewer than six rushing attempts. Cam Akers and Kyren Williams will form a committee to move forward. Henderson’s departure benefits Akers the most. Sunday against the Saints he had a career high 14 rushing attempts and 61 yards. The Rams have a 3-7 record and are essentially eliminated from playoff contention.

News: The Panthers named QB Sam Darnold the starter against the Broncos on Sunday.

What does it mean in fantasy: Darnold will be the Panthers’ third starting quarterback this season. He started 11 games last season for Carolina after coming in a trade with the Jets. Darnold did not play this season due to injury. It will be a great time to show what he can do as the season wraps up and he prepares for free agency. Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield had a 20.4 QBR against the Ravens on Sunday, giving him a season-worst 17.8 in the league. He had a 57.8% completion rate. Even with Darnold at quarterback, D’Onta Foreman and DJ Moore will be the Panthers’ most reliable playmakers. In 12 games with Darnold last season, Moore caught 68 of 118 targets for 848 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

going deeper: Darnold was 4-7 as a starter for the Panthers last season and had a 38.6 QBR that ranks ahead of only Zach Wilson (33.4) and Justin Fields (31.4).

News: Broncos RB Chase Edmonds was placed on injured reserve.

What does it mean in fantasy: Since Sunday’s game against the Raiders, the Broncos have lost Edmonds to a sprained ankle and waived Melvin Gordon III due to his bumbling woes. Broncos RB Latavius Murray had 72 total yards and one touchdown on 21 touches. He had a season-high 17.2 fantasy points and can be viewed as a RB2 based solely on volume. Jerry Jeudy also missed training on Tuesday with an ankle injury. He hasn’t played since being taken away in week 10.

News: The Cardinals fired offensive line coach and managed game coordinator Sean Kugler.

What does it mean in fantasy: Kugler had been on the Cardinals’ coaching staff since 2019. He designed Arizona’s rushing pattern, which has struggled recently, failing to reach 100 yards in three of its last four games. The change could benefit James Conner, who scored 11 or more fantasy points in three straight games, including a season-high 23.6 points in Week 10 against the Rams. The Cardinals rank 12th in run block winning percentage.

News: Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury said WR Greg Dortch will undergo an MRI for a thumb injury.

What does it mean in fantasy: Dortch hit 91 percent of offensive snaps and had the same number of runs as DeAndre Hopkins on Monday against the Cardinals after Rondale Moore injured his groin on his first drive. Dortch amassed a season-high 103 yards. Injuries continue to pile up for the Cardinals. Marquise Brown has been on injured reserve since he suffered a foot injury in Week 6. He did some individual drills in practice on Wednesday after being slated to return. His status is uncertain for Week 12. A hamstring injury has kept Kyler Murray out of the last two games. It’s possible Brown and Murray hold out another week with the Cardinals on hold in Week 13. Arizona would do well to lean on James Conner and the rushing game in Week 12 against the Chargers. Los Angeles’ defense gives up the third-most fantasy points per game to running backs.

News: Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said RB Jaylen Warren is questionable due to a hamstring injury against the Colts on Monday.

What does it mean in fantasy: Not encouraging news for Warren earlier in the week for a Monday night game. Najee Harris is well positioned to see significant touches for a Steelers team that has one of the more favorable running backs schedules throughout the rest of the season. Harris had a season-high 24 touches and 27.6 fantasy points Sunday against the Bengals. In four of his last five games, he’s scored 10 or more fantasy points.
