Tommy Rees fundamentally changed the outlook for the Notre Dame quarterback room…quickly

You can’t be a championship program in college football, in today’s era, without outstanding quarterback play. Playing quarterback has often been the area where Notre Dame could improve the most and where it has often trailed elite programs in talent and depth.

We saw this very clearly when the Irish reached the college football playoffs after the 2018 and 2020 seasons.

In less than six months, Notre Dame offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Tommy Rees he took a very, very big step to bring the quarterback room to that level. With today’s commitment of the great quarterback Kenny Mincheyalong with the elite quarterback’s 2024 summer commitment CJ CarrRees filled the quarterback room in a very short period of time.
